Time 5h21m

Yield 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) jar caramel topping

Steps:

  • For the crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar until well mixed. Press lightly into bottom (compressing too hard will make it hard to cut) of a 9 inch springform pan (may, also, use a 9x13 inch pan). Bake 6 minutes, until set. Cool completely.
  • For the butter brickle: Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter and pecans until well mixed. Lightly pat onto a baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until light brown. Crumble while still hot. Cool completely.
  • For the filling: in the meantime, in large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in condensed milk until well blended. Fold in whipped topping.
  • Spread half of the cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Sprinkle half of the prepared butter brickle over the cheese mixture and spread half of the caramel sauce over that. Repeat layers. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm, remove pan sides and serve cold. If the caramel sticks to the side, try dipping your knife into hot water and running it around the rim of the pan to loosen.

Tips:

  • Use unsalted butter: This will allow you to control the amount of salt in the recipe and prevent the ice cream from becoming too salty.
  • Don't overcook the sugar: The sugar should be melted and slightly browned, but not burnt. If you overcook the sugar, it will give the ice cream a bitter taste.
  • Let the ice cream base cool completely before churning: This will help the ice cream to set properly.
  • Churn the ice cream according to the manufacturer's instructions: Different ice cream makers have different churning times.
  • Store the ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer: The ice cream will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight is a delicious and easy-to-make ice cream that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy texture, crunchy toffee bits, and rich butterscotch flavor, this ice cream is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give Butter Brickle Frozen Delight a try!
