Yield 36

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 ¼ cups rolled oats
1 cup butter, melted
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon molasses
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Tips:

  • Use room temperature butter. This will help the cookies spread evenly and prevent them from becoming too dense.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and prevent them from sticking together.

Conclusion:

Buttery lace cookies are a simple yet elegant treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized with a variety of flavors and toppings. With these tips, you can make perfect buttery lace cookies every time.
