Steps:
- Position an oven rack in the top position, and preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Beat the cream cheese, mozzarella, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan, 2 tablespoons of the breadcrumbs and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium high until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to add the shrimp.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, 1/4 teaspoon salt and the red pepper flakes, and cook, stirring frequently, until the shrimp just start to turn pink, about 2 minutes. Add the wine, bring to a simmer and cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 2 minutes (there will be some liquid left in the skillet). Remove the skillet from the heat, and let the shrimp cool completely.
- Meanwhile, mix together the parsley, the remaining 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs and 1 tablespoon melted butter, the lemon zest and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
- Stir the shrimp, pan sauce and cream cheese mixtures together to combine; transfer to a 2-quart flameproof baking dish. (The dip and breadcrumb mixture can be covered and refrigerated overnight separately at this point.) Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the dip, and bake until hot and bubbly, 15 to 20 minutes. Switch the oven to broil, and cook until the top is golden brown, 1 to 3 minutes. Let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot with bread and/or crackers.

Steps:
- Put the breadcrumbs in a skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of the garlic and 2 tablespoons of the oil. Cook, stirring, until the crumbs are toasted and caramelized, 5 to 8 minutes. Set aside.
- In a saute pan large enough to comfortably fit the shrimp in 1 layer, heat 1 tablespoon of the butter and the remaining 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook, without moving the shrimp, until caramelized on one side, about 3 minutes. Flip the shrimp over and cook for another 2 minutes; remove from the pan.
- Return the pan to medium-high heat, add the white wine and remaining 2 tablespoons garlic and cook for 1 minute. Return the shrimp to the pan. Add the Worcestershire, lemon zest and juice and remaining 4 tablespoons butter. Cook, simmering, until the liquid thickens.
- Add the pasta to the pan if using and additional salt if necessary. Transfer to serving bowls and top with the toasted breadcrumbs and parsley. Serve with garlic bread if desired.

Tips:
- Use fresh shrimp. Frozen shrimp can be used, but fresh shrimp will give your dip a more delicious flavor.
- Cook the shrimp properly. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery. Cook them until they are just opaque and pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Use a good quality cheese. The type of cheese you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your dip. Use a cheese that melts well and has a creamy texture, such as cream cheese, cheddar cheese, or Parmesan cheese.
- Don't overcrowd the pan. When cooking the shrimp, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
- Serve the dip immediately. Shrimp scampi dip is best served immediately after it is made. However, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
Buttery Shrimp Scampi Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with fresh shrimp, a creamy sauce, and plenty of cheese. This dip is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
