YUMMY CARAMEL APPLE CINNAMON DUMP CAKE
I have tried several variations of dump cake and made up my own one day when I needed some comfort! ;) This one is by far the favorite of anyone I have served it to. I make several different flavors and fillings at work potlucks and since I made this one, that is all everyone requests! Once you make it, you'll know why, just make sure you have your favorite vanilla ice cream on hand to go along with it. :)

Steps:
- Pour both cans of Apple Pie Filling into a 13X9 glass cake pan.
- Add cinnamon and stir.
- Depending on what type of caramel topping you have, you may have to heat it in the microwave to get it to pour. Once it is ready to pour (some come in the squeezable and they are ready to go as is), then drizzle in a checkerboard fasion all over the pie filling, first up and down, then side to side.
- Sprinkle Dry Cake Mix over the top of the pie filling.
- Cut small slices of butter and place randomly all over on top of dry cake mix, ensuring that most areas are evenly covered.
- Bake at 350 for about a 30 minutes, watch it, when it is brown and bubbly it is ready to go.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle more hot caramel over ice cream and dessert.
- Enjoy! :-).

CARAMEL APPLE DUMP CAKE
Very easy and oh so delicious. You can use any type of pie filling but I particularly like apple. I remember in the 80s when the dump cakes were all the style but this one has a little bit of a twist to it and it is all for the good.

- 1. In a greased 9x13 dish, mix caramel and apples together
- 2. You may add 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I DID!
- 3. Spread evenly in pan. Pour dry cake mix over apples. spread out to edges. top with melted butter and pecans.
- 4. Bake 350 for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Tips:
- Use a variety of apples. This will give your cake a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn apples.
- Don't peel the apples. The skins add flavor and nutrients to the cake.
- Use a good quality caramel sauce. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your cake. You can use store-bought caramel sauce or make your own.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough.
- Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This will ensure that the cake is cooked through.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.
Conclusion:
Caramel apple dump cake is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with simple ingredients and can be easily customized to your liking. Whether you are a fan of caramel or apples, or both, you are sure to love this cake.
