CARAMEL APPLE PIE MARTINI

Caramel Apple Pie Martini image

I came up with this when I was in the mood for an apple pie martini, but I was out of vanilla vodka. These don't taste as boozy as they are, so they are kind of dangerous! This makes two large drinks or three if your glasses are small.

Categories     Beverages

Time 15m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 ounces skyy spiced vodka
3 ounces dekuyper sour apple pucker schnapps
2 ounces butterscotch schnapps
1 ounce Amaretto
1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
1 tablespoon graham cracker crumbs (optional)
apple, slices (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine vodka, amaretto, and the 2 schnapps in a cocktail shaker with ice; shake until cold and blended.
  • Combine cinnamon, sugar, and cracker crumbs on a small plate.
  • Pour vanilla on another small plate and dip rims of two martini glasses.
  • Dip wet rims into the sugar mixture.
  • Pour the cold cocktail mixture into the glasses.
  • Garnish with an apple slice and a pinch of the leftover sugar mixture.
  • Alternatively instead of rimming the glasses, you can just mix the sugar and cinnamon together, and add a bit to each glass after pouring the drinks.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, crisp apples. Granny Smith apples are a good choice because they hold their shape well and have a tart flavor that pairs well with the sweetness of the caramel sauce.
  • Make sure the apples are peeled and cored before slicing them. This will help the caramel sauce to adhere to the apples and prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Use a good quality caramel sauce. You can use store-bought caramel sauce or make your own. If you're making your own, be sure to use real butter and heavy cream for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when you're cooking the apples. If you do, the apples will steam instead of caramelizing.
  • Cook the apples over medium heat. This will help them to caramelize slowly and evenly.
  • Stir the apples occasionally while they're cooking. This will help to prevent them from burning.
  • Once the apples are caramelized, remove them from the pan and let them cool slightly before assembling the martinis.
  • To make the martinis, rim the glasses with caramel sauce and then fill them with ice. Add the vodka, apple cider, and lemon juice and stir to combine.
  • Top the martinis with the caramelized apples and serve immediately.

Conclusion:

Caramel apple martinis are a delicious and festive cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. They're easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a special drink to enjoy, give caramel apple martinis a try!
