BEER MARGARITAS

Who would believe that beer would be the perfect solution to eradicating fluorescent green margaritas? Well, it is! Best to use not-so-micro brews to avoid an overpowering beer flavor. Use the limeade can to measure the ingredients, and adjust with extra water if the mixture seems too sweet. Straining the pulp is always a good idea, unless, of course, you like pulp!

SOOZ'S MARGARITAS (MADE WITH BEER)

Sooz's Margaritas (Made With Beer) image

Good tequila is the key to these... I like these because they are not too sweet. Be careful because these go down way too smoothly! Use your limeade can to measure. Make sure to use a light beer or the beer flavor will be too strong.

Provided by Sooz Cooks

Categories     Beverages

Time 5m

Yield 10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 ounces frozen limeade concentrate (do not thaw)
4 ounces Grand Marnier (or other orange flavored liqueur)
12 ounces Cuervo tequila, gold 1800 (I have also used Cazadores with good results)
8 ounces water
12 ounces light beer (I like Corona)
1 lime, cut into wedges

Steps:

  • Pour limeade, Grand Marnier, tequila, water, and beer into a large pitcher.
  • Stir until well-blended and limeade has melted.
  • Add plenty of ice.
  • Pour into margarita glasses rimmed with salt (if salt is desired).
  • Garnish with lime wedges.

Nutrition Facts : Calories 100.3, Sodium 1.9, Carbohydrate 23.6, Fiber 0.2, Sugar 21.6, Protein 0.1

Tips:

  • Choose the right tequila. A good quality reposado or aƱejo tequila will give your Cerveza Margarita a smooth, rich flavor. Avoid using a blanco tequila, as it will be too harsh.
  • Use fresh lime juice. Fresh lime juice is essential for a refreshing Cerveza Margarita. Bottled or store-bought lime juice will not give you the same flavor.
  • Chill your ingredients. Chilling your ingredients before you make your Cerveza Margarita will help it to be extra refreshing. You can chill your tequila, lime juice, and beer in the refrigerator or freezer for at least 30 minutes before you start making your cocktail.
  • Garnish your Cerveza Margarita with a lime wedge or a salt rim. This will add a pop of color and flavor to your cocktail.

Conclusion:

The Cerveza Margarita is a delicious and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. So next time you are looking for a new cocktail to try, give the Cerveza Margarita a try. You won't be disappointed!
