- In a large bowl, combine the first 12 ingredients. In a blender, cover and process tea mixture in batches until powdery. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months., To prepare chai tea: Place 1/4 cup mix in a mug. Add hot milk; stir until combined.

CHAI TEA MIX GIFT IN A JAR
Watch out Starbucks, you'll be out of business in no time. The nutmeg and allspice is an added spice hit, use as desired. Also, I've been playing around with the amount of sugar, I like the sweetness with just 1/2 cup sugar, some suggest no sugar at all. If you don't care for the residue in the bottom of your cup, you can strain the mix with a fine sieve. Food for thought. In a coffee grinder, blender or food processor, blend 1 cup at a time, until mixture is the consistency of fine powder. To serve: Stir 2-3 heaping tablespoons Chai tea mixture into a mug of hot water or warmed skim milk. FOOTNOTE You may choose to omit the French vanilla creamer, and use 2 teaspoons vanilla extract instead. To do so, mix the vanilla into the sugar, let it dry, then break the sugar into small lumps. Follow the same procedure as above.
