4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled), plus more for rolling
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 3/4 teaspoons fine salt

Tips:

  • Use fresh herbs. Fresh dill and chives add a bright, herbaceous flavor to these biscuits. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried dill and 1 teaspoon of dried chives.
  • Don't overwork the dough. Overworking the dough will make the biscuits tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough helps the biscuits to rise evenly and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown. The biscuits are done baking when they are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Conclusion:

These cheddar cheese biscuits with dill and chives are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish. They are perfect for serving with soups, stews, or salads. The biscuits are also great for snacking on. They are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
