CHEDDAR SPIRALS

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pkg. (16 oz) spiral pasta
2 cups half and half
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup butter
4 cups (16 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. In a 5 quart slow cooker, combine the half and half, soup and butter until smooth; stir in cheese and pasta. 2. Cover and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours or until cheese is melted.

Tips:

  • For the best results, use high-quality cheddar cheese. Freshly grated cheese will melt more smoothly and evenly than pre-shredded cheese.
  • If you don't have a pastry blender, you can use two forks to cut the butter into the flour.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the dough tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will make the dough easier to work with and prevent it from shrinking in the oven.
  • If the dough is too sticky to roll out, add a little more flour.
  • Brush the spirals with milk before baking. This will help them brown evenly.
  • Keep an eye on the spirals while they are baking. They can burn easily.

Conclusion:

Cheddar spirals are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a quick snack. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make these tasty treats at home. So next time you're looking for a cheesy and satisfying snack, give cheddar spirals a try!
