Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

16 ounces cheddar cheese, sharp, shredded
8 ounces green olives, stuffed
2 medium green bell peppers
12 large French rolls
6 ounces tomato sauce
1 medium onion

Steps:

  • Cut the tops off of the rolls and hollow them out leaving a thin shell.
  • Grind all of the ingredients and bread in a meat grinder or food processor and stuff back into the rolls.
  • Place the tops back on the rolls and secure with tooth picks.
  • Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees F. for about 45 minutes.
  • Serve Hot.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality cheese. The better the cheese, the better the rolls will taste. Look for a cheese that is flavorful and melts well.
  • Don't overstuff the rolls. If you put too much cheese in the rolls, they will be difficult to roll and will likely burst open while baking.
  • Bake the rolls until they are golden brown. This will ensure that the cheese is melted and bubbly and the rolls are cooked through.
  • Serve the rolls warm. Cheese-stuffed rolls are best enjoyed warm from the oven. You can serve them with a variety of dipping sauces, such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or honey mustard.
