CHERRY BOMBS

Cherry Bombs image

The cherry bomb evokes the Shirley Temple that used to make you feel grown-up.

Provided by Martha Stewart

Categories     Food & Cooking     Drink Recipes

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup grenadine
1 liter clear citrus soda, or seltzer
18 maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • Place 2 cups water in a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add grenadine; stir to combine. Pour mixture into two ice-cube trays. Freeze until solid, 2 hours or overnight.
  • Fill six glasses with grenadine ice cubes. Top with soda. Garnish with cherries, and serve.

Tips:

  • Use fresh cherries for the best flavor. If fresh cherries are not available, you can use frozen cherries that have been thawed and pitted.
  • If you don't have a cherry pitter, you can use a paring knife to remove the pits.
  • Be careful not to overshake the martini, as this will dilute it and make it less flavorful.
  • Garnish the martini with a cherry or a lemon twist for a classic look.
  • Serve the martini chilled, either straight up or on the rocks.

Conclusion:

The Cherry Bomb Martini is a delicious and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are looking for a festive drink to serve at a party or a simple cocktail to enjoy at home, the Cherry Bomb Martini is a great choice. With its sweet and tart flavor, this martini is sure to please everyone who tries it.
