Tips:
- Choose the Right Cheese: Use a cream cheese that is firm enough to hold its shape, such as Philadelphia or Tofutti sour cream cheese. Neufchatel or mascarpone can also be used, but they are softer and may need to be chilled before shaping.
- Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps to prevent it from spreading too much. You can chill the dough for up to 30 minutes before baking.
- Use a Sharp Knife: When cutting the logs, use a sharp knife to get clean, even slices. A dull knife will tear the dough and make it difficult to cut.
- Garnish with Fresh Herbs: Garnish the logs with fresh herbs like chives, parsley, or dill for a pop of color and flavor.
Conclusion:
Cherry cheese logs are a delicious and versatile appetizer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or simply as a snack. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a batch of cherry cheese logs that will be sure to impress your guests.
