Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork: A pork shoulder or butt roast is ideal for this recipe, as it is a flavorful and affordable cut that will hold up well to the roasting process.
  • Score the pork: Scoring the pork before roasting helps the glaze penetrate the meat and results in a more flavorful roast.
  • Make the cherry glaze ahead of time: The cherry glaze can be made up to 3 days in advance, making it a convenient option for busy cooks.
  • Roast the pork covered: Roasting the pork covered helps to keep it moist and flavorful. Remove the cover for the last 30 minutes of roasting to allow the skin to crisp up.
  • Let the pork rest before slicing: Letting the pork rest before slicing allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful roast.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Cherry glazed pork roast pairs well with a variety of sides, such as roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, or green beans.

Conclusion:

Cherry glazed pork roast is an easy-to-make and delicious dish that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet and savory flavors is sure to please everyone at the table. With a little planning, you can have this dish on the table in no time!
