Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 c flour
2 c oats
2 c light brown sugar
2 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 c butter
2 tsp baking soda
5 tsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp mollasses
1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c m&ms

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and molasses in mixer. Scrape down the sides and mix in the eggs. In separate bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Mix them into wet ingredients. Stir in choc chips and M&Ms. Drop by the tablespoon onto lined cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Always use the best ingredients you can find, as this will make a big difference in the final product. This means using real butter, not margarine; using good-quality chocolate, not a cheap imitation; and using fresh eggs.
  • Measure your ingredients carefully: Baking is a science, so it's important to measure your ingredients carefully. Using too much or too little of an ingredient can throw off the balance of the recipe and result in a less-than-perfect cookie.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will develop the gluten in the flour, which will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough before baking will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The temperature of the oven is critical for baking cookies. If the oven is too hot, the cookies will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked. If the oven is too cool, the cookies will take too long to bake and they will be dry.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them: Once the cookies are baked, let them cool completely before storing them. This will help them to keep their shape and prevent them from becoming soft and chewy.

Conclusion:

With a little practice, you can easily make delicious, chewy, and gooey cookies that will be a hit with your family and friends. Just remember to use high-quality ingredients, measure your ingredients carefully, don't overmix the dough, chill the dough before baking, bake the cookies at the right temperature, and let the cookies cool completely before storing them.
