Tips:
- Choose the right popcorn. While you can use any type of popcorn for this recipe, a hulless variety will give you the best results. Hulless popcorn has a thinner hull, which makes it more tender and less likely to get stuck in your teeth.
- Use fresh ingredients. The fresher your ingredients, the better your Chex Mix will taste. Make sure to use real butter, not margarine, and fresh spices.
- Don't overcrowd the pan. When you're popping the popcorn, make sure to not overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the popcorn from popping evenly.
- Use a large bowl. When you're mixing the Chex Mix, use a large bowl so that you have plenty of room to stir. This will help to ensure that the Chex Mix is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Store the Chex Mix properly. Once you've made the Chex Mix, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. This will help to keep the Chex Mix fresh for up to two weeks.
