1 ½ pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-sized pieces
1 (6 ounce) container plain Greek-style yogurt
½ cucumber - peeled, seeded, and grated
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pinch salt
6 wooden skewers, or as needed

1/4 cup olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bit-sized pieces

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chicken thighs or breasts for the souvlaki. This will ensure that the meat is juicy and flavorful.
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight. This will help the chicken to absorb the flavors of the marinade.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat. This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out.
  • Serve the chicken souvlaki with your favorite dipping sauce. Tzatziki sauce is a classic Greek yogurt-based sauce that pairs perfectly with chicken souvlaki.
  • For a healthier version of chicken souvlaki, grill the chicken instead of frying it.

Conclusion:

Chicken souvlaki is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout or party. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make this classic Greek dish at home. So fire up the grill and get ready to enjoy some delicious chicken souvlaki!
