Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: For this recipe, boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs work best. You can also use chicken tenderloins or strips.
  • Use fresh herbs: Basil and lime are the stars of this dish, so make sure to use fresh herbs for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh basil, you can use 1 tablespoon of dried basil, but the flavor won't be as good.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken breasts can dry out quickly, so it's important to cook them over medium heat and not overcook them. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately, while the chicken is still hot and juicy. You can garnish it with additional basil leaves and lime wedges.

Conclusion:

This chicken with basil and lime is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is packed with flavor. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the basil and lime add a bright, refreshing flavor. Serve it over rice or noodles, or with a side of vegetables.
