Tips:

  • Use dried beans for the best flavor and texture. If you don't have time to soak them overnight, you can quick-soak them by boiling them for 1 minute, then removing them from the heat and letting them soak for 1 hour.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot. If you add too many beans to the pot, they won't cook evenly and you'll end up with some hard beans and some mushy beans.
  • Season the chili blanco to taste. The amount of chili powder, cumin, and salt you add will depend on your personal preferences. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve the chili blanco with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings include shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, and chopped cilantro.

Conclusion:

Chili blanco is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's a great way to use up leftover chicken or pork, and it's also a great vegetarian option. Whether you serve it with rice, beans, or tortillas, chili blanco is sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give chili blanco a try. You won't be disappointed!
