  • Toast the pecans before coating them in the chili spice mixture. This will help to bring out their flavor and make them more crispy.
  • Use a variety of chili powders to create a complex flavor. You can use ancho chili powder, chipotle chili powder, or cayenne pepper, depending on your desired heat level.
  • Be sure to coat the pecans evenly in the chili spice mixture. This will ensure that they are all evenly flavored.
  • Bake the pecans at a low temperature for a long period of time. This will help to create a crispy coating without burning the pecans.
  • Let the pecans cool completely before storing them. This will help to prevent them from becoming soggy.
