I developed this recipe as a compromise-my daughters and I dislike beans, while my husband and son enjoy them. By adding lots of other ingredients, the girls and I have fewer beans on our plate, and the men still get to eat the chili they like! - Diane Miller, Terrace, British Columbia

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your chili will taste. If possible, use organic vegetables and grass-fed beef.
  • Brown the beef well: Browning the beef before adding it to the chili will help to develop its flavor and give the chili a richer color.
  • Use a variety of beans: Don't just stick to one type of bean. Using a variety of beans will give your chili a more complex flavor and texture.
  • Add some spice: Chili is all about the spice! But be careful not to add too much, or you'll overwhelm the other flavors in the chili.
  • Let it simmer: The longer you simmer your chili, the better the flavors will develop. So don't rush the process.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Chili is the perfect dish to serve with a variety of toppings. Some popular options include cheese, sour cream, avocado, and diced onions.

Conclusion:

Chili is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you like it mild or spicy, there's a chili recipe out there for you. So next time you're looking for a hearty and flavorful meal, give chili a try. You won't be disappointed!
