Tips for Baking Perfect Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Scotchies

- **Use high-quality ingredients**: Opt for real butter, pure vanilla extract, and high-quality chocolate chips to ensure the best flavor. - **Follow the recipe accurately**: Especially during the creaming of butter and sugar, and when adding dry ingredients. Over-mixing can result in dense cookies. - **Chill the dough before baking**: This helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much in the oven. - **Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown**: The centers should still be soft and chewy. Overbaking can result in dry cookies. - **Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying**: This allows the flavors to meld and the cookies to set properly.
