Tips:
- Use room temperature ingredients: This will help ensure that your cookies are properly mixed and evenly baked.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will help incorporate air into the mixture, resulting in a lighter and more tender cookie.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overworking the dough can result in tough, dense cookies.
- Chill the dough before baking: This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set: Overbaking can result in dry, crumbly cookies.
- Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying: This will help them firm up and develop their full flavor.
