Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before starting, measure and prepare all ingredients to ensure smooth and efficient bread-making.
  • Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh oranges for optimal flavor and aroma. If using store-bought orange juice, choose 100% pure and not from concentrate.
  • Orange Zest: Finely grate the orange zest to release its aromatic oils, adding a burst of citrus flavor to the bread.
  • Bread Maker Settings: Follow your bread maker's instructions for the correct settings. Some machines have a specific "Sweet Bread" or "Fruit Bread" setting suitable for this recipe.
  • Chocolate Chips: Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips for a rich and decadent flavor. You can also use chopped chocolate or even orange-flavored chocolate chips for a unique twist.
  • Baking Time: Keep an eye on the bread during the last few minutes of baking. If the crust is browning too quickly, tent the bread with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning.
