Time 20m

Yield 1 9x13 pan

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 angel food cake, broken into pieces
12 ounces chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 cups whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate chips with sugar.
  • While melting, beat egg whites; set aside.
  • Beat 4 egg yolks.
  • Add to chocolate mixture and cook 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  • Whip the cream; add chocolate mixture and beat.
  • Fold into egg whites.
  • Add cake chunks and mix.
  • Put into 9x13-inch pan and refrigerate.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the angel sweets will taste. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Toast the peanuts. Toasting the peanuts will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Don't overbeat the egg whites. Overbeaten egg whites will make the angel sweets tough. Beat them until they are stiff peaks but not dry.
  • Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture gently. Overmixing will deflate the egg whites and make the angel sweets dense.
  • Bake the angel sweets at a low temperature. This will help them to rise slowly and evenly.
  • Let the angel sweets cool completely before frosting them. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

Chocolate peanut angel sweets are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. They are perfect for any occasion, from birthday parties to holiday gatherings. With their rich chocolate flavor, crunchy peanuts, and fluffy frosting, these angel sweets are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
