KING'S HAWAIIAN BREAD (COPYCAT)

King's Hawaiian Bread (Copycat) image

We absolutely love this bread. My sister won't buy anything but. It's kinda expensive so when I came across this, I had to add it here so we (Mom, Chris, and I) could always have it and everyone else could enjoy it too. The first time I ever had it, it was with the Spinach Veggie dip...OMGOSH it was DEEEVINE! So...next time you don't wanna spend the money, whip it up yourself! It does take a while...but so worth it!

SWEET HAWAIIAN YEAST BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)

Sweet Hawaiian Yeast Bread (bread Machine) image

This is a great bread machine recipe that substitutes pineapple juice for the usual water, making it extra flavorful. The ingredient list is for a 1.5 lb loaf.

Provided by Chris from Kansas

Categories     Yeast Breads

Time 3h5m

Yield 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

3/4 cup pineapple juice
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 tablespoons honey
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons dry milk
2 teaspoons fast rising yeast or 2 teaspoons quick-rising yeast

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in bread machine container in order directed by manufacturer.
  • Cycle: white, sweet, no timer.
  • Setting: light.

Tips:

  • Activate dry yeast properly. Always check the expiration date on your dry yeast packet. To activate the yeast, dissolve it in warm water (110-115°F) with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until it becomes foamy. This process is called "proofing" and ensures that the yeast is active and ready to use.
  • Use fresh ingredients. The fresher the ingredients, the better the bread will taste. This is especially true for the milk, eggs, and butter.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the bread tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place. The ideal temperature for rising dough is between 75-85°F. You can place the dough in a warm oven with the light on or in a sunny spot on your counter.
  • Bake the bread at a high temperature. Hawaiian bread should be baked at a high temperature (375°F) for a short period of time (25-30 minutes). This will give the bread a crispy crust and a fluffy interior.

Conclusion:

Hawaiian bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also a great bread to use for sandwiches and French toast. With a few simple tips, you can easily make Hawaiian bread at home. So next time you're in the mood for something sweet and fluffy, give this recipe a try!
