Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 6

24 frozen dinner yeast rolls
1 pkg 3 3/4-oz. pkg. butterscotch pudding (not instant)
1/2 c butter or margarine
3/4 c brown sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c chopped nuts

Steps:

  • 1. Arrange rolls in greased tube pan (one piece pan).
  • 2. Sprinkle dry pudding over rolls.
  • 3. Cook butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nuts until sugar is dissolved; pour over rolls.
  • 4. Cover tightly and leave on counter overnight.
  • 5. Do not preheat oven. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
  • 6. Let stand 5 minutes and invert onto plate.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Make sure your yeast is active before using it. To do this, dissolve it in warm water (105-115°F) with a pinch of sugar and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. If the yeast is active, it will foam up.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. This will help to develop the gluten in the flour, which will give the rolls a chewy texture.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will take about 1-2 hours.
  • Shape the dough into rolls and place them in a greased baking dish. Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Bake the rolls in a preheated oven until they are golden brown. This will take about 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve the rolls warm with butter, honey, or your favorite topping.
