Yield Makes about 3 cups

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups boiling water
4 teaspoons loose English breakfast tea (or 4 tea bags)
1/2 cup bourbon
Juice of 1 orange
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons Simple Syrup for Iced Tea
Ice, for serving
Orange slices, for garnish

Steps:

  • Pour water over tea, and steep 5 to 7 minutes. Strain, and refrigerate. Stir in bourbon, juices, and syrup. Serve over ice with garnish.

Tips:

  • Choose the right bourbon. A good bourbon for an Arnold Palmer should be smooth and mellow, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Avoid bourbons that are too spicy or smoky, as they will overpower the other flavors in the drink.
  • Use fresh citrus juice. Freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice will give your Arnold Palmer the best flavor. Avoid using bottled or concentrated juices, as they can be too sweet and artificial.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking. The amount of simple syrup you add to your Arnold Palmer is a matter of personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Serve your Arnold Palmer over ice. This will help to keep it cold and refreshing.
  • Garnish your Arnold Palmer with a lemon or orange twist. This will add a touch of elegance and flavor to your drink.

Conclusion:

The Citrus Arnold Palmer with Bourbon is a refreshing and delicious cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you are looking for a new cocktail to try, give the Citrus Arnold Palmer with Bourbon a try. You won't be disappointed!
