Tips:

  • To achieve a smooth and glossy finish, make sure to use high-quality chocolate. Dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 70% or higher is a good choice.
  • If you don't have a microwave, you can melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Place a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir the chocolate until it's melted and smooth.
  • To get the coconut and almonds to stick to the chocolate, press them into the melted chocolate immediately after spreading it onto the baking sheet. You can also sprinkle them on top of the chocolate before it sets.
  • Refrigerate the chocolate bark for at least 30 minutes before breaking it into pieces. This will help it to set properly and make it easier to break.
  • Store the coconut almond bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
