  • Divide between 2 greased 8 inch square baking pans.
  • Top with the mushrooms and cheese.

  • To use frozen casserole, cover and bake at 350° for 35 minutes; uncover and bake for 15 minutes longer.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor, texture, and nutrients to your casserole. Some good options include carrots, celery, onions, bell peppers, and broccoli.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken that is overcooked will be dry and tough. Cook it just until it is cooked through, which is about 10 minutes per side for boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
  • Use a creamy sauce: A creamy sauce will help to keep the chicken and vegetables moist and flavorful. You can use a simple cream sauce made with milk, flour, and butter, or you can try a more flavorful sauce made with cheese, herbs, or spices.
  • Top with a crispy topping: A crispy topping will add texture and flavor to your casserole. Some good options include bread crumbs, crushed crackers, or grated cheese.
  • Bake until bubbly: Bake the casserole until it is bubbly and the topping is golden brown. This will usually take about 20 minutes.

Conclusion:

Chicken casserole is a versatile and easy-to-make dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to use up leftover chicken, and it can be customized to your liking by adding different vegetables, sauces, and toppings. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal or a special dish to serve at a potluck, chicken casserole is a great option.
