This is a quick fix recipe that everyone seems to just love - kids especially - enjoy!

Categories     Pizza

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 box jiffy corn muffin mix
1 lb ground round
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
8 oz tomato sauce
8 oz shredded nacho cheese / cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 350* Fix muffin mix according to package directions, spread on a pizza pan into a 12 - 14 " circle, bake 8 - 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Turn off oven.
  • 2. Brown ground meat and drain. Add taco seasoning packet and tomato sauce to meat. Spread meat mixture on cornbread pizza, top with shredded cheese and put pizza back into the oven to melt the cheese.
  • 3. Take finished pizza from the oven, cut into wedges. Serve with the sides of your choice: diced onion, diced tomato, sour cream, guacamole, or shredded lettuce.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cornbread: Use a sturdy, slightly sweet cornbread that will hold up to the weight of the toppings. A Jiffy cornbread mix is a good option.
  • Make sure the cornbread is fully cooked: Undercooked cornbread will be too soft and crumbly to hold up as a pizza crust.
  • Don't overload the pizza: Too many toppings will make the pizza soggy. Stick to a few simple ingredients that you love.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the pizza will taste.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: There are endless possibilities when it comes to cornbread taco pizza toppings. Get creative and have fun!

Conclusion:

Cornbread taco pizza is a fun and easy way to enjoy two of your favorite foods in one delicious dish. It's perfect for a casual meal with friends or family, and it's also a great way to use up leftover cornbread. So next time you're looking for a new and exciting pizza recipe, give cornbread taco pizza a try. You won't be disappointed!
