COUNTRY FARM CHICKEN CASSEROLE

Country Farm Chicken Casserole image

A casserole with chicken, potatoes, mushroom, onions and bacon in a great tasting gravy! I grill my chicken but a friend of mine batters and fries hers...so you can do it either way, your preference. You dont have to fry everything in the bacon grease, it does take a little away from the flavor, but it tastes great even if you use olive oil, vegetable oil or butter. Cooking time includes the baking time as well the frying you do during prep.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling during the cooking process.
  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your casserole will taste. Look for fresh, organic produce, and high-quality chicken.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Overcooked chicken is tough and dry. Cook it just until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor and texture to your casserole. Some good choices include carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, and broccoli.
  • Use a creamy sauce: A creamy sauce will help to bind the ingredients together and make the casserole more flavorful. You can use a simple white sauce, or you can add in some cheese or herbs for extra flavor.
  • Top with a crispy crust: A crispy crust will add a delicious crunch to your casserole. You can use a variety of toppings, such as bread crumbs, crushed crackers, or grated cheese.
