Tips:

  • Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor. If you're using frozen crab meat, thaw it completely before using.
  • Be sure to chop the artichoke hearts into small pieces so that they cook evenly.
  • Don't overcook the filling. The crab and artichoke should be cooked through, but not tough.
  • Use a good quality puff pastry for the best results. You can find puff pastry in the freezer section of most grocery stores.
  • If you don't have individual tart pans, you can use a 9-inch pie plate. Just be sure to trim the excess puff pastry around the edges.
  • Serve the tarts warm with a side of your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

Crab and artichoke tarts are an easy and delicious appetizer or main course. They're perfect for any occasion, from casual gatherings to formal parties. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a dish that will impress your guests.
