ROASTED PORTABELLO MUSHROOMS WITH BLUE CHEESE
Meaty portabellos are topped with blue cheese. Great as an appetizer, or build a burger with crusty rolls, red onion slices, lettuce and tomato. I chopped the mushroom stems, sauteed them, and added them to the hamburger patties we barbecued. Yum, yum!

Tips:
- Choose the right mushrooms. Large, firm mushrooms, such as portobello or cremini, are best for stuffing.
- Remove the mushroom stems cleanly. Use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out the stems, leaving a clean cavity for the stuffing.
- Sauté the mushrooms briefly before stuffing. This will help to brown them and develop their flavor.
- Use a variety of fillings. Crab and blue cheese is a classic combination, but you can also try other fillings, such as sausage and spinach, or chicken and bacon.
- Bake the mushrooms until they are tender. The cooking time will vary depending on the size of the mushrooms, but they should be cooked through and slightly browned.
- Serve the mushrooms immediately. They are best enjoyed hot and fresh out of the oven.
Conclusion:
Crab and blue cheese stuffed mushrooms are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for a party or a special occasion, and they can be easily customized to your liking. With a little creativity, you can create a variety of different stuffed mushroom recipes that will please everyone at your table.
