SHRIMP AND CRAB AU GRATIN
For me, this is the ultimate in comfort food. Rich and creamy, cheesy, and seafood all in one dish...how do you lose? I've been known to add a LOT more cheese if I'm in the mood, or toss in some Cajun seasoning to spice it up a bit. Prep time includes stove-top cooking time, cooking time is just the baking time.

CRAB AND SHRIMP AU GRATIN DIP
I love this served as a dip with toasted bread rounds or as my mother's generation would say "toast points". Or, serve for lunch, brunch, or dinner with a simple green salad and hot French bread. Cheesy, warm and a bit spicy! Serve with a sparkling wine for a really good time.

CRAB MEAT & SHRIMP AU GRATIN
This is a FANTASTIC recipe that I developed many years ago. It began at first as Crabmeat Au Gratin & recently I decided to also add Shrimp, which greatly improved an already great dish. Also, instead of a mild chedder, I sometimes use the 4 or 6 blend of shredded cheese, either Kraft or Sargento.

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Fresh crab and shrimp, grated Parmesan cheese, and a creamy, flavorful sauce are all essential.
- Don't overcook the seafood. Crab and shrimp are delicate and can easily become tough if overcooked. Cook them just until they are opaque and pink.
- Make sure the sauce is thick enough to coat the seafood and vegetables. A thin sauce will make the dip watery and runny.
- Garnish the dip with fresh herbs, such as parsley or chives, for a pop of color and flavor.
- Serve the dip with crackers, bread, or vegetables for dipping.
Conclusion:
Crab and shrimp au gratin dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for parties or potlucks. With its creamy, cheesy sauce, tender seafood, and crispy breadcrumb topping, it's sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a crowd-pleasing dish, give this crab and shrimp au gratin dip a try. You won't be disappointed!
