Tips:

  • Choose the freshest seafood possible. Fresh crab and shrimp will have a sweet, briny flavor and a firm texture. Avoid seafood that is slimy or has an off odor.
  • Cook the seafood properly. Overcooked seafood is tough and chewy. Crab and shrimp should be cooked just until they are opaque and tender.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your salad. This will add color, flavor, and nutrients. Some good choices include cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and avocado.
  • Don't skimp on the dressing. A good dressing will help to bring all of the flavors of the salad together. Use a light and flavorful dressing, such as a vinaigrette or a lemon-herb dressing.
