CRAB IMPERIAL CASSEROLE

YUM! Fennel adds a subtle sweet note, but you can omit if it's not on hand. You can also adjust sherry to taste, I just love sherry with creamy crab dishes. This recipe calls for a casserole dish but use individual ramekins if desired, just adjust to a shorter baking time.

Tips:

  • Use fresh crab meat. Fresh crab meat has a sweeter, more delicate flavor than frozen or canned crab meat. If you can't find fresh crab meat, frozen crab meat is a good substitute.
  • Don't overcook the crab meat. Crab meat is delicate and cooks quickly. Overcooking will make it tough and rubbery.
  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will add flavor and texture to your Crab Imperial Bake. Some good choices include bell peppers, onions, celery, and mushrooms.
  • Use a creamy sauce. A creamy sauce will help to bind the ingredients together and make the bake more flavorful. You can use a béchamel sauce, a velouté sauce, or a simple cream sauce.
  • Top with cheese. Cheese is a classic topping for Crab Imperial Bake. It adds flavor and a golden brown crust.
  • Serve with a side of rice or bread. Crab Imperial Bake is a rich and flavorful dish, so it's best to serve it with a side of something light and simple, such as rice or bread.

Conclusion:

Crab Imperial Bake is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for any occasion. With its creamy sauce, tender crab meat, and flavorful vegetables, it's sure to be a hit with everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a special dish to serve, give Crab Imperial Bake a try. You won't be disappointed!
