Tips:
- Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor and texture. Frozen cranberries can also be used, but they should be thawed before using.
- Be sure to rinse the cranberries well before using them.
- If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the sugar mixture by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If the mixture forms a soft ball, it is ready.
- If you want a thicker bark, cook the sugar mixture for a longer period of time. A thinner bark will result if the sugar mixture is cooked for a shorter period of time.
- Be careful not to overcook the sugar mixture, or it will become too hard.
- Pour the sugar mixture over the cranberries and nuts in a thin layer. If the layer is too thick, the bark will be difficult to break.
- Let the bark cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
- Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
Cranberry Bog Bark is a delicious and easy-to-make holiday treat. It is perfect for gift-giving or enjoying at home. With its sweet and tart flavor, Cranberry Bog Bark is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
