KIWINANABERRY CREAM SMOOTHIE

Kiwinanaberry Cream Smoothie image

I came up with this because I had a ton of kiwi that was going to go bad soon and I couldn't find any decent recipes for kiwi so I settled on making my own smoothie. Well, it turned out I wasn't settling because it turned out fantastic, and I normally don't care for smoothies much. I used a bunch of different fruit, but kiwi is the main fruit here and the smoothie has a nice slightly tart, tangy, and sweet taste. I use soy milk, but non-fat milk would taste the same. I also used tangelos because that's what I had, but oranges or tangerines would work just as well.

Time 15m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 kiwi, peeled
1/4 cup cranberry lemonade
1 frozen banana
1 teaspoon sugar

Steps:

  • Mix kiwi and lemonade.
  • If cranberry lemonade cannot be found, you can most likely mix lemonade and cranberry juice to a similiar effect.
  • Blend in the banana.
  • This recipe makes for a VERY "potent" smoothie so if your tastes are more mild you may want to leave out the sugar or use half a kiwi instead of a full one.
  • Add sugar and enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe cranberries and kiwis: Using ripe fruits will ensure the best flavor and texture in your smoothie.
  • Freeze the cranberries and kiwis beforehand: Freezing the fruits will help create a thicker, creamier smoothie.
  • Use a high-powered blender: A high-powered blender will help break down the frozen fruits and create a smooth, consistent smoothie.
  • Add liquid gradually: Start with a small amount of liquid and add more as needed until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking: Add honey, maple syrup, or another sweetener to taste, if desired.
  • Serve immediately: Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, so serve them immediately after blending.
