Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 bag(s) pepperidge farm chessmen cookies or 2 bags vanilla wafers
6-8 bananas, sliced
2 c milk
(1) 5 oz box french vanilla pudding
(1) 8 oz package cream cheese
(1) 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
(1) 12 oz container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Steps:

  • 1. Line the bottom of a 13x9 inch inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer.
  • 2. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended.
  • 3. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve!

Tips for Making the Best Cream Cheese Banana Pudding:

  • Use ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful the pudding will be.
  • Don't overbeat the cream cheese. Overbeating will make the cream cheese grainy.
  • Use a light touch when folding the whipped cream into the pudding. Overmixing will deflate the whipped cream and make the pudding less fluffy.
  • Chill the pudding for at least 4 hours before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
  • Serve the pudding with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings include whipped cream, sliced bananas, and chopped nuts.

Conclusion:

Cream cheese banana pudding is a classic Southern dessert that is easy to make and always a hit with crowds. With its creamy, sweet, and tangy flavor, this pudding is sure to please everyone at your next gathering. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give cream cheese banana pudding a try.
