CREAM CHEESE COILS
Coiled buns made with cream cheese with a powdered sugar glaze, mmmm...mmmmmmm! This recipe won grand prize in the yummy yeast rolls contest and was submitted by Susan Peck from Republic, Missouri. Susan says she sometimes substitutes cherry or blueberry pie filling for the cream cheese. She has also sprinkled her rolls with cinnamon sugar and sliced almonds and reshaped the recipe to make a yeast coffee cake. Adapted from Country Woman magazine(2004). Prep time includes rising time.

Tips:
- Use high-quality cream cheese: Opt for full-fat cream cheese for a richer, creamier taste.
- Soften the cream cheese properly: Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature to ensure a smooth and spreadable consistency.
- Mix the filling thoroughly: Blend the filling ingredients until well combined to prevent pockets of unmixed ingredients.
- Chill the dough before rolling: Chilling the dough firms it up, making it easier to roll and less likely to tear.
- Roll the dough evenly: Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to a consistent thickness, ensuring even cooking.
- Brush with egg wash: Applying an egg wash to the dough before baking adds a beautiful golden brown finish.
- Bake until golden brown: Keep an eye on the cream cheese coils while baking to ensure they reach the perfect golden brown color.
