Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 c chopped broccoli
1 c mayonnaise
1 1/2 c sour cream
1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 c shredded mozzarella or italian blend cheese
2 clove garlic - smashed
1/3 c bacon bits
1/2 c finely diced red onion

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 425. Boil broccoli until just tender, then chop into small pieces, place in a large bowl. Add diced onion, bacon bits and garlic. Mix ingredients together thoroughly.
  • 2. Add Mayo, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar and 1 cup of the mozzarella (save the 1/2 cup mozzarella for topping) until everything is binded together. Place mixture in a baking dish.
  • 3. Sprinkle the last 1/2 cup of mozzarella over the top of the mixture and place in the oven for approx. 10-15 minutes until cheese is fully melted...(or until you see a slight golden color to the top).
  • 4. Remove dip from oven and serve hot with bagel crisps, crackers, veggies, chips or whatever you'd like! (This dip is also great as a sauce over baked boneless skinless chicken breast!)

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. Fresh broccoli, sharp cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon will make a world of difference in the taste of your dip.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli. You want it to be tender but still have a little bit of a bite to it.
  • Use a food processor to chop the broccoli and bacon. This will make it easier to get a smooth and creamy dip.
  • Be careful not to overcook the dip. It should be melted and bubbly, but not browned.
  • Serve the dip immediately. It's best when it's hot and gooey.

Conclusion:

This creamy bacon broccoli cheese dip is the perfect appetizer for any party or gathering. It's easy to make, delicious, and always a crowd-pleaser. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
