Provided by Michael Symon : Food Network

Categories     side-dish

Time 2h20m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cucumbers, cut into 2-inch-long pieces
1 small red onion, sliced
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1 clove garlic, grated or minced
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh dill

Steps:

  • Quarter the cucumber pieces and place in a mixing bowl. Add the onions and season with salt. Mix to combine as you prepare the rest of the salad. This will start to draw out moisture, which will help thin out the dressing.

Tips:

  • For a creamier dressing, use full-fat sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  • If you don't have fresh dill, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of dried dill.
  • To make a vegan version of this dressing, use vegan sour cream or yogurt.
  • This dressing can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve this dressing with cucumber salad, potato salad, or grilled chicken.

Conclusion:

Creamy cucumber dill dressing is a refreshing and flavorful dressing that is perfect for summer salads. It is easy to make and can be made with a few simple ingredients. This dressing is also a good source of vitamins and minerals, making it a healthy addition to your favorite dishes.
