Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pkg ( six ounces) orange gelatin
2 c boiling water
2 pkg ( 3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 can(s) ( 14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
1 - 8 oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • 1. In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in water. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually blend in the hot gelatin mixture, beating on low speed until smooth. Stir in the milk; fold in whipped topping. Transfer to a 2 1/2 quart serving bowl. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm.

Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges. Fresh oranges have a brighter flavor and more juice than oranges that have been sitting around for a while.
  • Zest the oranges before you juice them. The zest is the outermost layer of the orange peel, and it contains a lot of flavor. Zesting the oranges before you juice them will add a lot of flavor to your dressing.
  • Use a good quality olive oil. Olive oil is the base of the dressing, so it's important to use a good quality oil. Look for an olive oil that is extra virgin and has a fruity flavor.
  • Don't overdress the salad. A little bit of dressing goes a long way. If you overdress the salad, it will be too oily and the flavors will be overpowered.
  • Serve the salad immediately. This salad is best served immediately after it is made. The oranges will start to lose their flavor if the salad sits for too long.

Conclusion:

Creamy orange salad is a refreshing and delicious salad that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its sweet and tangy dressing, this salad is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
