Discover how to make turkey casserole rich and creamy.

Yield Makes 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups leftover prepared stuffing, divided
4 cups leftover cooked turkey, coarsely chopped, (about 1 lb.)
3/4 cup Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
1/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
1 1/2 shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preparation
  • Preheat oven to 375°. Spray 8-inch baking dish with no-stick cooking spray. Spoon in 2 cups stuffing, then top with turkey.
  • Combine Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise with cranberry sauce; evenly spread over turkey.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of mushrooms. This will add depth of flavor to the casserole. Some good options include cremini, portobello, and shiitake mushrooms.
  • Don't overcook the turkey. Turkey can easily become dry and tough, so it's important to cook it just until it's cooked through. A meat thermometer is the best way to ensure that the turkey is cooked to the proper temperature.
  • Use a good quality Parmesan cheese. This will make a big difference in the flavor of the casserole. Look for a Parmesan cheese that is aged for at least 12 months.
  • Serve the casserole immediately. This is when it will be at its best. The casserole can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but it's best to reheat it before serving.

Conclusion:

Creamy Turkey Parmesan Casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It's also a great way to use up leftover turkey. The casserole is made with a creamy Parmesan sauce, tender turkey, and a variety of vegetables. It's then topped with a crispy breadcrumb topping. This casserole is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
