CREOLE FRENCH DRESSING

Creole French Dressing image

I got this from a cookbook in my late Grandmothers collection who died in 1986. This is in a small paperback book published by Wesson Oil in 1928. My husband loves french dressing and asked to try this. The recipe below is exactly how it is in the book. They didn't add the garlic in the ingredients it might have been a typo. Note: I can't leave any recipe alone, so....when I make it I changed it to add a 1/2 tsp chopped garlic instead of rubbing the bowl with a garlic clove. I also thought it needed a little perking up so I 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice and a little more worcestershire. Enjoy.

Tips for Making Creole French Dressing:

Use Fresh Ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your dressing will taste. Choose ripe tomatoes, crisp vegetables, and fragrant herbs for the best flavor. Experiment with Different Oils: Creole French dressing is traditionally made with olive oil, but you can also use other oils such as avocado oil, walnut oil, or grapeseed oil. Experiment with different oils to find one that you like the taste of. Add Some Acid: A little bit of acid, such as lemon juice, vinegar, or white wine, can help to balance out the richness of the dressing. Season to Taste: Don't be afraid to season your dressing to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other spices until it reaches your desired flavor. Let the Dressing Marinate: If you have time, let the dressing marinate for at least 30 minutes before using. This will allow the flavors to meld together and develop.

Conclusion:

Creole French dressing is a versatile and flavorful dressing that can be used on salads, vegetables, or meat. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With its vibrant colors and bold flavors, Creole French dressing is a great way to add a touch of Creole cuisine to your next meal.
