GLUTEN-FREE CRISPY CAJUN FISH FILLETS IN THE AIR FRYER

Gluten-Free Crispy Cajun Fish Fillets in the Air Fryer image

Cajun fish fillets made in the air fryer pack just enough heat and are perfectly crispy using gluten-free panko bread crumbs. I serve these as sandwiches on a gluten-free bun with lettuce, tomatoes, tartar sauce, and Cheddar cheese slices. Alternatively, you can skip the bun and serve in lettuce wraps or with a salad.

Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: Not all fish fillets are created equal. For this recipe, a firm, white fish such as cod, halibut, or tilapia is best. Avoid fish that is too oily or flaky, as it will not hold up well during the frying process.
  • Use a light batter: A heavy batter will weigh down the fish and make it greasy. Instead, use a light batter made with flour, cornstarch, and eggs. You can also add seasonings such as salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  • Fry the fish in hot oil: The oil should be hot enough to sizzle when the fish is added. This will help create a crispy crust on the outside of the fish while keeping the inside moist and tender.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the fish will not cook evenly and will be more likely to stick together. Cook the fish in batches if necessary.
  • Drain the fish on paper towels: Once the fish is cooked, drain it on paper towels to remove any excess oil.

Conclusion:

Crispy fish fillets are a delicious and versatile dish that can be served with a variety of sides. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal or a special dish for a party, crispy fish fillets are sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you are looking for a new way to cook fish, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
