DAD'S BEST MARINADE

Dad's Best Marinade image

My dad has been making this for as long as I remember. He usually marinated a chuck roast or flank steak. We love it and I have used it on pork and chicken too. We like to marinate the cubed meat for kebabs and throw on some pineapple. I have also used pineapple juice in place of the water in this recipe and chopped fresh ginger is a good addition. We usually grill our meat for this recipe. I hope you enjoy! This works great on venision too!

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, high-quality steak and a flavorful marinade to ensure the best results.
  • Tenderize the steak: To tenderize the steak before marinating, use a meat mallet or a fork to poke holes in the steak. This will help the marinade penetrate the meat more easily.
  • Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours: The longer you marinate the steak, the more flavorful it will be. However, marinating the steak for too long can make it tough.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the steak its flavor, so be sure to use a flavorful one. There are many different marinade recipes available, so you can choose one that suits your taste.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: To get a good sear on the steak, cook it over high heat. This will help to lock in the juices and create a flavorful crust.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing: After cooking the steak, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.

Conclusion:

By following these tips, you can cook a delicious and flavorful steak that will be sure to impress your family and friends. So next time you're looking for a great steak recipe, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.
