DAD'S DAIQUIRIS

Dad's Daiquiris image

Categories     Rum     Alcoholic     Cocktail Party     Backyard BBQ     Lime     Spirit     Summer     Party     Bon Appétit     Drink

Yield Makes 2 Servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup (generous) ice cubes
1/3 cup frozen limeade concentrate
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup amber Barbados rum
Additional ice cubes
2 lime wedges

Steps:

  • Combine 1 cup ice, limeade concentrate, lime juice, and rum in blender. Blend until ice is crushed and mixture is blended.
  • Place additional ice cubes in 2 glasses. Pour daiquiri mixture ice. Garnish with lime wedges and serve.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Make sure your limes are ripe and juicy. If they're not, your daiquiri will be sour.
  • Use a good quality rum. A light rum is the traditional choice, but you can also use a dark rum for a richer flavor.
  • Use simple syrup or superfine sugar to sweeten your daiquiri. Simple syrup is easier to dissolve than regular sugar.
  • Don't over-shake your daiquiri. Shaking it too much will dilute the flavor.
  • Serve your daiquiri immediately over ice. You can also garnish it with a lime wedge or a cherry.

Conclusion:

The daiquiri is a classic cocktail that's perfect for any occasion. It's refreshing, flavorful, and easy to make. With so many different variations to choose from, there's sure to be a daiquiri that everyone will enjoy. So next time you're looking for a delicious and festive drink, give the daiquiri a try.
