DEATH BY WINGS

I found this and changed it up to add more heat. Be very careful when working with peppers; DO WEAR GLOVES. Last time I made these, even after filtering the oil, the fries I made the next day were also fairly hot.

Categories     Chicken

Time 15m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 1/2 cups Frank's red hot sauce
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 chicken bouillon cubes (or powder)
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
5 ounces barbecue sauce (any brand you like)
5 ounces honey garlic barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 cup butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
5 lbs chicken wings (tips removed & split in half.)

Steps:

  • Mix all sauce ingrediens in saucepan and heat to melt butter.
  • Deep fry wings in small batches and mix with sauce.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Wings: Select plump, meaty wings with smooth, unblemished skin. Avoid wings with bruises or tears.
  • Brine Your Wings: Brining the wings in a salt and water solution helps tenderize and flavor them. Try a buttermilk brine for a crispy coating.
  • Season Generously: Don't be shy with the seasonings. A good rub or marinade will take your wings to the next level. Use a combination of spices, herbs, and aromatics.
  • Cook to Perfection: Whether you're frying, baking, or grilling your wings, cook them to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). This ensures that they are safe to eat and have a juicy, tender texture.
  • Make Your Own Sauces: Store-bought sauces can be good, but making your own allows you to customize the flavor to your liking. Try a classic Buffalo sauce, a tangy barbecue sauce, or a creamy ranch dressing.
  • Don't Forget the Sides: Wings are often served with a variety of sides, such as celery, carrots, blue cheese dressing, and ranch dressing. These sides help balance the heat and richness of the wings.

Conclusion:

With a little planning and effort, you can make restaurant-quality wings at home. Experiment with different recipes and flavors to find your favorites. And don't forget to enjoy the process! Cooking wings is a great way to gather with friends and family and have some fun.
