DEBBIE'S FRITO® PIE
I love this recipe because it can be prepared ahead and frozen. Thaw time is minimal. A great dish for game day or surprise company. I really love this dish because it is so simple to make, yet it tastes fabulous. It freezes well, so when you have time on your hands, you can make a couple up and freeze them. Then when you are harried or just plain tired, just pop it in the oven and have a wonderful meal. It is also well within anyone's budget. Some like it better the second time around. Any kind of salad goes well with it.

Tips:
- Use a variety of beans. This will give your Frito pie a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include black beans, pinto beans, and kidney beans.
- Don't skimp on the seasonings. A good Frito pie should be flavorful and well-seasoned. Use a variety of spices, such as chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the most important ingredients in a Frito pie, so it's important to use a good quality cheese. Some good options include cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and pepper Jack cheese.
- Don't overcook the meat. If you overcook the meat, it will become tough and dry. Cook the meat until it is just cooked through.
- Layer the ingredients in the correct order. The order of the layers is important for the best flavor and texture. Start with a layer of Fritos, then add the meat, beans, corn, and cheese. Top it off with another layer of Fritos and serve.
